Favorite O2O Projects you’ve worked on:

My favorite O2O project is the most recent project I worked on…it was for Seeker Wines. I had to drink wine in order to complete the project, so…YAY!

Favorite part of being an O2O Member:

I love the great projects that come my way as an O2O member. The people at O2O are so great to work with!

Tell us how you came to be a blogger.

I started blogging in 2006, but I really had no concept of what a blog could become at that point. It was just something silly I did that 3 or 4 people read every now and then. When I quit my full-time job to be a stay-at-home parent, I found that I was missing the social and creative outlet that I’d found previously at work.

I decided to give blogging a serious try in 2011. At some point, I realized I could make money doing this and actually chart my own career path, and when I had this realization, I never looked back. Honestly, I didn’t really know what a blogging career would look like for me or how this would all pan out, but I kept following my instincts.

In 2014, I had an idea to make a Meal Planner. This idea came to me very organically as my blog evolved and changed directions. I invested all of the money I got for my birthday and Christmas into a few pieces of equipment to start making Meal Planners. The very short story is that two years later, my husband quit his job to work with me full-time – both on my site and on our eCommerce shop (

Blogging now supports my family, which is SO exciting!

Name another blogger you admire and why.

Oh my goodness, there are so many. I have a close network of blogger friends in my community who I all admire for different reasons. They are amazing, and they all teach me so much.

But if I had to pick one right this second…I’m kind of obsessed with – I’ve taken her Make Over Your Mornings course and it was so helpful. She does a lot of things really, really well and I am inspired by all she has accomplished.

Is there a piece of advice, quote, or mantra that you live by?

“She believed she could, so she did.” — I live by that quote and have it everywhere!

What is the best compliment you have ever received?

Whenever someone tells me they’re inspired by me, I feel so humbled. That is the best compliment I have received. I don’t know what I’m doing that’s inspiring, but whatever it is…I hope I can keep doing it!

What was your last best meal?

A few nights ago we made homemade pizza and it was pretty amazing.

Is there a song you can’t get enough of, listen to on repeat, know all the lyrics, obsessed with?

I will drop everything and pump up the jam every time Britney is on the radio.

What is the best thing to do where you live?

I love visiting the Dallas Arboretum…there is something different to see every time we go, and it’s gorgeous (and, the kids can run around, which is a bonus).

Night owl or early bird?

Night owl BUT…trying really, really hard to become an early bird and it’s working!

What is your favorite time of the year?

Three things you can’t live without (besides family/friends/faith).

  • Horses
  • Books
  • Iced tea
