The Power Rangers are back with an all new cast, a new look and a new network. Debuting tonight on Nickelodeon, Power Rangers: Samurai is the newest edition of the Power Rangers franchise:
“Combining comedy with action-filled storylines, the all-new half-hour series features a new cast of Rangers and never-before-seen villains, as well as high-octane action, martial arts and advanced special effects.”
The world’s most successful kids action series is in it’s 19th season and has moved from Disney to Nickelodoen and just got a shiny, martial-arts-influenced reboot. The series premieres tonight, 8 PM EST, on Nickelodeon before moving to it’s regular spot on Sundays at noon.

Along with the premiere of the new series, Nick.com is launching their emPOWER site that “provides parents and kids the tools they need to work together to grow healthy kids and support healthy communities“. Along with daily fitness tips and information on healthy living, the site will feature a “ranger of the week” – kids nominated by their parents on the emPOWER Facebook site. This will be a child who is somehow making a difference in lives of their families, schools or communities. As in previous series’, each Power Ranger: Samurai is represented by a color. And each character’s color represents one of five elements: Fire, Water, Sky, Forest and Earth.
