Another BlissDom has come and gone and it was fabulous! We sincerely love reading recap posts and seeing the conference through your eyes! Our own perspective is a bit different, though still very good. If you don’t already know, Barbara Jones and Paula Bruno, our CEO and President, respectively, are also the owners, aka “Bliss Chicks” of BlissDom, along with Alli Worthington. Every year, Barbara and Paula have the unique challenge of not only planning the conference, but of also working with the O2O team on how to best interact with BlissDom attendees.
While at BlissDom we want to connect, in real life, with our existing members and find new members by meeting conference attendees and telling them what we are all about. Last week was definitely full of that! So many of you who attended BlissDom stopped by to say hello; there was hugging and hand shaking and smiling. Lots of smiling in fact because so many of you took us up on our offer of headshots! Our mini-studio with lights and two professional photographers captured all the beauty!
One of our favorite things to do is giveaway fun prizes! This year we gave members, new members, and conference attendees the chance to win some fabulous prizes like a Kindle Fire or Nook, Apple TV, and social media inspired necklaces! Congrats to the following BlissDom attendees who won those prizes!
- Apple TV: Heather T. of Basil Momma – @basilmomma and Jessica W. of The Pregnancy Companion – @pregnancypal
- Kindle Fire: Denise E. of Do You Have That In My Size? – @lottalatte, Sarah V. of In The Trenches of Mommyhood – @sarahviz, and Aimee B. of Project: Aimee – @AimeeBroussard
- Survival of the Hippest necklace: Maya B. of Think Maya – @thinkmaya, Courtney D. of Pizzazzerie – @Pizzazzerie, Molly T. of Digital Molly – @DigitalMolly, and Emily E. of DesignHER Momma – @designhermomma
One thing we don’t get to do much of is attend sessions. I ducked into one photography session on each day and we all listened to some of the opening keynote. But that doesn’t mean we don’t get anything out of the conference. Sometimes a lot can be learned, almost in a osmosis kind of way, just from being there. And it’s definitely inspiring to see the BlissDom community of women reach out to each other. We’d love to know which sessions resonated the most with you!
We are music lovers at One2One Network and we most definitely enjoyed ALL the music acts at BlissDom this year. It was so exciting to see Nathan Pacheco again, Joe Jonas and Rascal Flatts were a blast, and our buddy, Chris Mann, never disappoints! I still get chills when I think about him serenading us with “Because We Believe” at lunch on Saturday.
What was your take on BlissDom? We’d love to read more of your BlissDom ’12 recap posts! Link them here!
